CYPRUS: Revenue from tourism increases by €43,4 million in June

Revenue from tourism increased by €43,4 million in June, 2014, compared to the same month in 2013, while during the first half of the year, revenue increased by €81,1 million, according to the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus.

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, says the announcement of the Statistical Sevice, revenue from tourism reached €303,2 mn in June 2014 compared to €259,8 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 16.7%.

For the period January – June 2014 revenue from tourism is estimated to €778,7 mn compared to €697,6 mn in the corresponding period of 2013, recording an increase of 11.6%.

As regards tourist arrivals, the Statistical Service announced that they reached 342.221 in June 2014 compared to 308.219 in the corresponding month of 2013.
