Emirates, a global connector of people and places, this week started a daily service between Dubai and Larnaka and onwards to Malta.
Mustafa Al Jabri, Emirates’ Manager for Cyprus, said: “From 1st August, Emirates has added three flights a week to its Dubai–Larnaka-Malta-Larnaka-Dubai schedule. This now daily service will help further stimulate trade and tourism between these destinations and further afield across Emirates’ vast network via Dubai.”
Travellers from Cyprus can enjoy daily access to both Dubai and Malta, especially now in summer for a holiday with family or friends. Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s award-winning cargo division, is offering 17 tonnes of belly-hold capacity on every flight to further increase the trade opportunities between Dubai, Larnaka and Malta.
Flight EK107 operating an Airbus 330-200 in a three class configuration – 12 First Class suites, 42 Business Class suites and 183 Economy Class seats – leaves Dubai at 0820hrs to reach Larnaka at 1105hrs and departs Larnaka at 1215hrs to arrive in Malta at 1410hrs. The return flight EK108 departs Malta at 1545hrs, and arrives in Larnaka at 1910hrs, departs Larnaka at 2020 and arrives in Dubai at 0110hrs the next day.
Timings have been scheduled to facilitate more effective onward connections from Dubai to popular destinations, such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, India and Brazil. Following last year’s partnership agreement with Qantas, Emirates offers connections to almost 60 cities across Australia and New Zealand.
On-board customers will be entertained by a wide range of movies, TV programmes, games and music through ice, Emirates' multi-award winning in-flight entertainment system, as well as enjoy gourmet food served by Emirates’ multi-lingual cabin crew.
Adding to the airline’s extensive product offering, customers travelling in all classes enjoy generous baggage allowances – 30 kilos in Economy Class, 40 kilos in Business Class and 50 kilos in First Class.
With a technologically-advanced fleet of 225 wide-bodied aircraft, Emirates operates services to 143 destinations in 81 countries from Dubai. Additionally, Emirates has the largest fleet of Airbus A380s with the 50th A380 added to the fleet last month (July 2014).
