CYPRUS: Sales of petroleum products down 4.4% in H1 2014

Sales of petroleum products dropped by 4.4% during the January-June period compared to the same first-half period last year, the Statistical Service Cystat announced on Monday.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of June recorded an increase of 9,5% compared to the previous month, reaching 70 158 tonnes.
The total sales of petroleum products in June 2014 recorded an increase of 6,8% at 112.395 tonnes, compared to May 2014.
A rise was also recorded in the provisions of aviation kerosene and gasoil for marine use, as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil and motor gasoline. On the contrary, a decline was observed in the sales of kerosene, asphalt and liquefied petroleum gases.
Compared with June last year, the total sales of petroleum products recorded in June 2014 increased by 2%.
