An additional 28 flights for the Middle East region from 1 December
Doha is to become Emirates’ best served destination as part of a boost to frequencies throughout the Middle East from 1 December.
The Qatari capital, Bahrain, Muscat and Kuwait will all receive an extra daily flight – bolting 28 flights onto the airline’s regional offering and taking its total number of Middle East weekly departures from Dubai to 276.
By increasing from six to seven daily flights, Doha becomes Emirates’ highest frequency destination, overtaking Bangkok and ahead of Singapore and London Heathrow.
Muscat will go from two to three flights a day, Bahrain from three to four daily services and Kuwait will increase from five to six flights daily.
“This is a significant enhancement of our services in the region, giving our customers more choice and convenience,” said Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Centre. “With seven flights a day going into Doha, nowhere else on the Emirates’ network will offer as many daily flights. This overtakes Bangkok, and is ahead of Singapore and London Heathrow.”
“The extra frequencies will provide even more scope for customers to enjoy our award winning services, such as the ice in-flight entertainment system loaded with up to 1800 channels of movies, TV programmes, games and music, which can all be explored while savouring gourmet chef prepared cuisine,” Sheikh Majid added.
Apart from Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait, the airline’s 276 weekly departures to destinations in the airline’s Gulf, Middle East and Iran (GMEI) region also cover the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen.
The routes are supported by a combination of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The airline’s highly popular A380 aircraft is currently deployed to Jeddah in the KSA. On 16 July, Kuwait will become the region’s second destination for the Emirates’ A380, a deployment which also marks 25 years of services to the country.
Emirates operates four scheduled flights each week between Larnaka and Dubai: every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. On these days in the morning, EK107 arrives from Dubai while in the afternoon EK108 arrives from Malta on its flight back to Dubai. From 1st August the airline will add three more flights a week and will be operating a daily scheduled flight between Dubai and Cyprus and onwards to Malta.

Muscat:
EK 864, departing Dubai at 1650hrs and arriving in Muscat at 1800hrs.
EK 865, departing Muscat at 1915hrs and arriving in Dubai at 2015hrs.
Bahrain:
EK 833, departing Dubai at 2215hrs and arriving in Bahrain at 2230hrs.
EK834, departing Bahrain at 2355hrs and arriving in Dubai at 0205hrs.
Kuwait:
EK 873 departing Dubai at 1010hrs and arriving in Kuwait at 1100hrs.
EK 874 departing Kuwait at 1230hrs and arriving in Dubai at 1510hrs.
Doha:
EK 881 departing Dubai at 1920hrs and arriving in Doha at 1930hrs.
EK882 departing Doha at 2125hrs and arriving in Dubai at 2330hrs.
