Cyprus will train Lebanese officers on search and rescue operations, Defence Minister Christoforos Fokaides announced Tuesday at the ministerial meeting held in Rome on support for the Lebanese armed forces.
Ten Lebanese officers will attend a training for two weeks, the Minister said.
Since the 2006 crisis in Lebanon, Cyprus participates in the UN interim force in Lebanon, UNIFIL.
From Rome, Fokaides will travel to Paris at the invitation of his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
