The globar airline alliance oneworld is celebrating the launch of Hamad International Airport – the new Doha home base for its member airline Qatar Airways – by cutting 15% off the price of the alliance’s Visit Middle East pass bought until June 24.
oneworld is the leading alliance serving the Middle East, with two member airlines – Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian. The Visit Middle East pass features all their flights within the Gulf, Levant and Egypt – and also those of the other oneworld partners operating within this region, British Airways and Cathay Pacific, offering flights to 33 destinations in 12 countries.
The pass must be purchased in conjunction with an international flight to the region with any oneworld member airline. Normally, prices of each flight start at US$ 75, excluding taxes and fees – but during the month of this special offer, the 15% discount means flights start at US$ 64, excluding taxes and fees.
Hamad International Airport is the new home for Qatar Airways, which joined oneworld in October, and has been designed to complement the airline’s own five-star service, with the aim of becoming one of the world’s leading hubs. It has an initial capacity for 30 mln passengers a year, rising to 50 mlon when fully complete.
