Î™ndictments related to Cyprus near economic collapse ready for court

The Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus is working to substantiate the first legal cases and indictments related to issues being investigated for criminal offenses concerning the state of the economy and the banking sector, according to a press release, issued by the Law Office.

Yesterday a meeting took place at the offices of the Republic’s legal service and was attended by the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General, two officers of the Criminal Division of the Law Office, the heads of the investigation teams and others.

They reviewed what has been done so far and evaluated the process being followed.

At the meeting, specific measures were decided for closer and more effective coordination between the investigation authorities and the Law Office, for prioritizing the investigations and substantiating specific cases, the press release adds.
