US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will be in Nicosia, Cyprus, on February 4, to meet with officials of the Cypriot government to discuss initiatives to further develop and enhance US-Cypriot relations.

She will also meet with Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders to convey American support for accelerating progress toward a fair and lasting settlement of the Cyprus problem through the process facilitated by the UN Secretary General’s Good Offices Mission.
Two days earlier, on February 2, she will be in Athens, Greece, to meet with senior Greek government officials, business leaders and civil society to discuss bilateral and global issues, including economic growth, entrepreneurship, and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

Diplomatic sources said the visits were a follow-up of contacts with countries she covers.
