Road tax renewals up year-on-year

The Ministry of Communications and Works announced that year-on-year renewals of circulation licenses had improved despite the economic crisis, from 173,005 or 26.62% of all vehicles on January 20, 2013, to 223,092 vehicles or 34.33% this year.
The Ministry also said that it has submitted an urgent amendment to parliament to correct the renewal rate for small commercial vans that had previously been registered as private saloons.
Tax renewals will continue to the first week of February and payments can be made at the Road Transport Dept., local citizens’ bureaus and online.
