The new design represents a major restructuring of the University’s previous website designed by Dynamic Works in 2010, and built around the needs of prospective students when navigating a higher education website for information that will drive them to make that important step into higher education. Through a dynamic virtual tour tool of the University campus, prospective students and their families are now able to experience university life as a whole from the convenience of their home including the campus and its surroundings, classrooms and labs, as well as the athletic and cultural centres.
Dynamic Works’ aim was to modernize the look and feel of the website, create greater consistency throughout the site, simplify the back-end of the website with Dynamic Works CMS (DWCMS) making it easier for faculty and staff to regularly update website content, and produce a user-friendly site for visitors, including prospective and enrolled students and their families, faculty, staff, and community members.
An enhanced course search and application tool allows prospective students to find their dream course much more easily, helping to drive enquiries to the University. New investment in inspiring content shows that Cyprus not only offers a great academic experience but also a great adventure, enabling students to discover Cyprus’ unique culture.
A new online resource guide will support the European University Cyprus’ distance learning programme, promising a less isolated experience for students learning at home or from oversees. The new resource tool is aimed at creating a supportive online community, with very strong social architecture. Many students who cannot study oversees will be attracted by the chance to follow a university-level course without any travel or cost and at a time that suits them.
