Young execs focus on job ethics at Maritime Cyprus

The fourth Young Executives session of the Maritime Cyprus conference held this week, attended by company executives and academics up to the age of 40, focused on employment opportunities within the shipping sector and job and promotion prospects.
Chaired by Despina Panayiotou-Theodosiou, president of the Womens’ International Shipping and Trading Association – WISTA Cyprus, the discussion was about maintaining high standards of ethics and integrity within the workplace, as well as seeking out mentors and joining various professional societies or groups.
The panellists included Katy Ware, the U.K.’s Permanent Representative to the IMO, Alison Jarabo–Martin, Managing Director of Fathom Shipping and Kaity Arsoniadis–Stein, president and General Secretary International Ship-Owners Alliance of Canada, all of whom reiterated a commitment to continued learning, helping with the adjustment to change and a passion for the profession.
