Overseas Cypriots elect Papaevripides as new president

Andreas Papaevripides has been elected as the new President of the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK), at an election procedure that took place within the framework of the annual conference of representatives of overseas Greek and Cypriot organisations.

Papaevripides was elected securing 42 votes.

Peter Drousiotis, President of the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK secured 36 votes and was elected Vice- President of POMAK.

Overseas Cypriots held on August 21 and 22 in Nicosia, the 17th meeting of the International Conference of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK-PSEKA), together with the conference of the Executive Council of the Organisation of Young Overseas Cypriots (NEPOMAK).
