Presented at a seminar by PETROLINA – ΕΝΙ

The new trends in Europe and the technology of the three new series of “eni i-series” engine oils by ENI (eni i-sint, eni i-sigma and eni i-ride), were recently presented at a seminar held at the central offices of oil company PETROLINA in Larnaca.

The seminar was held for PETROLINA’s managing executives and staff, on the company’s Commercial Department’s initiative. The head of Italian energy group ENI’s Refining and Marketing Division, Mr Carlo Gommellini, was the central speaker. During the seminar, matters connected to the engine oils technology were discussed, with special emphasis paid to the new technological challenges and demands of modern automobile manufacturing. The new series eni i-series engine oils are already available at Petrolina and Agip petrol stations.

The Executive Director-Marketing of PETROLINA, Mr Akis Lefkaritis, said Cypriot oil company PETROLINA would continue, despite the difficulties of the times, to invest in new products and services, driven by respect towards the human being and the environment. “The concept of innovation in a new economy is unquestionable,” said Mr Lefkaritis, adding: “Innovation today is considered a significant parameter for growth, on a national level but also for each individual business.”

PETROLINA and ENI recently announced the renewal of their cooperation for another four years. The partnership includes exclusive licensing for representation, manufacturing and distribution of lubricants, greases and special liquids by ENI in the Cypriot market. The PETROLINA-ENI partnership began towards the end of the 1960s, when AgipGas became available in Cyprus, while at the start of the 1970s, they agreed on exclusive representation of Agip products (today under the brand name ENI). In the beginning of the 1990s, the two companies cooperated to organise the lubricant manufacturing sector in Cyprus, developing thus a new innovation in the sector, while in the same decade, they agreed on the operation of the Agip petrol station network in Cyprus.
