Cyprus President: We are doing everything possible to restart the economy

We are doing everything possible to restart the economy, President Nicos Anastasiades said on Wednesday, adding that he will soon give a press conference to review his government’s term in office until now.
According to an official press release, speaking during an event organized at the Presidential Palace by ruling Democratic Party’s Nicosia women’s organization, Anastasiades said that “in such a difficult economic situation for our country, the contribution of everyone is necessary”.

He noted that “we are doing our outmost by taking measures and giving incentives to achieve a better management of state expenses on the one hand and on the other hand to create prospects, achieve at last the anticipated growth, recovery and restart of the economy, to be able to stand on our feet, overcome problems and bring dignity and pride back to our citizens.”
