Almost 15.000 families to be benefited from Cyprus Aid charity concert

At the concert, people offered non perishable goods, medicine and other basic items, which were distributed to individuals, families and other groups.

According to a press release issued Wednesday by the organizers of the event, the goods were distributed to 29 institutions, organizations , Town Halls, Unions and Bishoprics in all towns. Goods were also given to families in need by the governmental social services. Medicines were transferred to the Social Clinic which was set up in Nicosia.

The organizers noted that the needs of the 14.622 families will be met until Easter-in a month-and call upon people to keep on collecting goods and medicine and show their solidarity to those in need. They also pointed out that up until two days ago, the families who turned to the 29 collection points are 21,096.

A total of 500 volunteers worked for the collection of the goods.
