Cyprus and France can further cooperate in areas such as the economy and natural gas, French Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius has said.

In statements he made to the press on the sidelines of the official opening of the Franco-Cypriot school on Saturday in Nicosia, Fabius said that the school’s establishment constitutes an excellent initiative and is a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Cyprus and France.

Replying to a question on further prospects of cooperation he said that whilst relations between the two countries are very good they can become even better.
