Photiades builds 11 mln euro distribution centre

Photos Photiades Distributors (PPD), the Cyprus drinks wholesaler division of the Photiades Group, has moved into new state-of-the-art headquarters and warehouse in Nicosia that cost 11 mln euros to build on a 11,300 sq.m. site.
The new centre includes a bonded warehouse for spirits and an underground climate-controlled facility of 1100 sq.m. for the storage of wines and tobacco products.
The project was financed by Eurobank, designed by Michalis Ashikallis and built by C & A Toumazis.
PPD CEO Alexis Photiades said that the company will plant some 4,000 trees around the site next autumn.
The Photiades Group comprises of the flagship Ph Photiades Breweries, makers of Carlsberg beer in Cyprus, the oldest established franchise outside Denmark. It also includes bottling of water and fruit juice, property developments and insurance, with operations in Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Croatia.
