Cyprus GDP marks an increase of 2,5% in 2011

Gross Domestic Product (G.D.P.) for the year 2011 is provisionally estimated at 17.761,4 million euro, at current prices, compared to 17.333,6 million in 2010, marking an increase of 2,5%, the Statistical Services of the Republic of Cyprus announced here today.

According to a press release, on the first estimate of the National Accounts, issued by the Statistical Service on Monday, the GDP for 2011 is estimated at 15.153,1 million euro at constant 2005 prices (chain linking method) compared to 15.080,5 million in 2010.

The growth rate in real terms is estimated at 0,5% in 2011, compared to 1,1% in 2010.
