Cyprus outbound tourism drops 4.2% y/y in Jan

Outbound tourism declined by 4.2% over the year earlier in January, with 79,777 residents of Cyprus returning from a trip abroad compared with 83,243 in January 2011.
Either declining business with Greece or fears of being caught up in riots appears to have affected trips to Greece, which dropped by 11.4% over the year earlier to 20,558 in January 2012 compared with 23,197 in January 2011.
