Cyprus car registrations continue decline in January

A new letter at the front of number plates appears to have had little impact so far on registrations of motor vehicles, which fell again in January by 22.9% to 2,505 from 3,251 in January 2011.
Registrations of private saloon cars decreased by 22.2% to 1,942 from 2,497 in January 2011.
In 2011 motor vehicle registrations fell by 17.6%–their third year of consecutive decline.
