Cyprus petroleum sales up 0.5% in 2011

Total sales of petroleum products rose by 0.5% in 2011, according to the Statistical Service.
There was a significant increase in the sales of kerosene (18.8%), gasoil (14.5%), liquefied petroleum gases (11.3%), gasoil for marine use (10.0%) and aviation kerosene (9.1%).
Sales of unleaded motor gasoline 95 RON showed a marginal rise of 0.4%.
By contrast, there was a decrease in the sales of asphalt (-23.6%), unleaded motor gasoline 98 RON (-19.2%), light fuel oil (-8.7%), gasoil low sulphur (-4.0%) and heavy fuel oil (-8%).
The stocks of petroleum products at the end of 2011 recorded a decrease of 6.2% compared with the end of the year 2010.
