Less Cypriots travelled abroad in 2011

On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, for the period January – December 2011, 1.208.899 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad compared to 1.246.378 in the corresponding period last year recording a decrease of 3.0%.

In January – December 2011 there was a decrease of 7.8% on the trips of residents to Greece (395.045 in period January – December 2011 compared to 428.686 in period January – December 2010).

A total of 81.890 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in December 2011 compared to 89.228 in the corresponding month last year recording a decrease of 8.2%.
