The Dutch competition authority is investigating whether mobile telecoms operators in the Netherlands including KPN, Vodafone, and Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile engaged in price-fixing or other uncompetitive practices.
The competition body did not name any of the companies under investigation but KPN, Vodafone, and T-Mobile issued separate statements saying they were co-operating with the probe.
KPN, the market leader, said its headquarters in The Hague was raided at 0830 on Tuesday morning, and that five employees were being questioned by the competition authority.
KPN said that the competition authority was investigating collaborative practices for mobile telecommunications packages for Dutch consumers.
T-Mobile spokesman Michael Vos told Reuters: "We are co-operating fully with the authorities and we are confident of the positive outcome of the investigation."
