Stelios hands out 50,000 eur awards for bicommunal entrepreneurship

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of easyJet and serial entrepreneur, presented five pairs of entrepreneurs with EUR 50,000 each for their work in promoting business cooperation between the two communities.
The winners are Danae Stylianou and Rahme Veziroglou (made the film "Sharing An Island" and will produce a bi-communal TV series and production company), Harris Galazis and Emre Serdar (high-tech aluminum building facades), Antry Mylona and Mehmet Birinci (import and market home care equipment and cleaning products), Alkis Kaimakis and Tagmach Chankaya (collecting recyclable material – cardboard and paper – baling it and exporting it), Yiannos Ioannou and Mehmet Ertepinar (import and distribution of dental products).
The award, in its third year, is funded by Stelios through the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.
