Industrial turnover up 4.1% y/y in April

The industrial turnover index reached 116.1 units in April, according to the Statistical Service, recording an increase of 4.1% compared to April 2010.
Industrial production in the same period fell by 4.3%.
For the period January-April 2011, the turnover index recorded an increase of 1.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
For manufacturing alone, the index for April 2011 reached 107.1, recording an increase of 2.1% compared with April 2010.
