Harmonised inflation steady at 3.2% in March

The EU-harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) was almost steady in March, with prices rising by 3.2% over the year earlier, having risen by 3.1% in February.
However, the rate of inflation was higher than in March 2010, when an annual inflation rate of 2.3% was recorded.
The national consumer price inflation rate reported last week was 2.8%.
