easyJet announced three new routes from Edinburgh Airport, including Scotland’s only direct route to Athens from £36.99, one way. It will begin flying to Athens three times a week, Tenerife twice weekly and Grenoble from September on board a new 180-seat Airbus A320. The new destinations bring the number of easyJet routes from Scotland to 41.
“easyJet is excited to announce the launch of three fantastic new routes including Scotland’s only direct route to Athens, connecting Edinburgh – the Athens of the north – to the Greek capital. We are responding to customer demand, providing an even greater choice of city, sun and ski destinations from Edinburgh and further strengthening our position,” said Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s commercial manager for Scotland.
