Limassol Marathon to attract runners to Cyprus

As the organisers of the Marathon aim to establish it as one of the most popular in Europe, in recent years the Marathon has been included in the official calendar of international federations AIMS and IAAF.

This year, the participants are expected to exceed one thousand.

At a press conference on Friday, Limassol Mayor Andreas Christou welcomed the 5th International Marathon, saying that it creates huge opportunities to attract sports tourism and to create conditions for an increased tourist wave in times of recession.

The Marathon day includes the Marathon, a Half Marathon, Atlantica Limassol 10 km Race, 5 km Corporate Race, 1 km Charity Walk / Run and 1 km Kids Fun Run.
