Whichever way you turn, many items will cost you more in 2011. From groceries to gas, travel to college tuition, there’s more pressure on your dollars and dimes.

Which is why it’s good to know you can always rely on the tech industry to provide some welcome respite from the budget blues.

Thanks to constant innovation, tech products usually become faster – and cheaper – each year.

Kindle eBook readers, iPhones, plasma high-definition televisions, cameras and laptops are just some the electronic items that will likely cost you less this coming year, according to a list of 12 price decliners compiled by dealnews.com.

According to the website, the price of a Kindle could come down as much as 24 percent this year.

A 42-inch Panasonic HD TV – which could be found for as little as $370 in 2010 – will likely see its price drop to under the $300-dollar mark, dealnews.com predicts.

Also on the hotlist are Blu-Ray disc players, Wii consoles, portable GPS systems, external hard drives and memory cards.

So whether there’s a photography itch you’ve been waiting to scratch, or you finally want to take the plunge and find out what the Kindle fuss is all about, you can do so knowing that it’s one budget expenditure you can afford to be smug about.
