The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) has praised the government’s announcement that online access to Company House data will be available from January 10. Trade Minister Antonis Paschalides said in an earlier announcement that users will have access through the Internet to the Registrar of Companies’ database at http://www.drcor.mcit.gov.cy and that this modernisation will have a positive impact on investments and corporate activity, a sectlor which had been lagging behind other foreign jurisdictions.
So far, the only services available to the public online are name searches and submission of audited accounts by authorized users (accountants, lawyers, etc.)
CIPA believes that the conclusion of the second phase of the same project will allow for online registration of companies, submission and issue of certificates, and should improve Cyprus’ competitiveness as an international business centre.
