FxPro Cyprus Rally kicks off

FxPro Cyprus Rally’s opening Ceremony was held on Thursday on the beach road in Yermasoyia, Limassol, with Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Paschalides waving the flag first.

Drivers were applauded by the spectators, while the participation, for the first time, of a Turkish team, comprising two women, created an impression.

They both saluted the audience, saying that Cyprus is a wonderful country.

For security reasons, the car of the Turkish team has a police escort.

Seven thousand spectators were due to live some spectacular moments watching the 2.45km-long super special stage, which began at 20:30 in the new harbour area.

Seven special stages of a total length of 114.56 kilometers will take place tomorrow, while on Saturday another six more stages of overall length of 122.8 km will take place.

The finish-line ceremony will be held on Saturday at 18:00.

Sunday is dedicated to Love Cyprus Golden Stage, comprising a single 25km mixed surface stage.

A total of 150,000 Euros will be split among the winners.
