Cyprus petroleum sales down 2.4% y/y in Jan-August

Sales of petroleum products in August 2010 recorded a decrease of 7.5% compared with the previous month, according to the latest figures from the Statistical Service, Cystat.
Cystat said that a considerable decrease was noted in the sales of Asphalt, Gasoil low Sulphur, Gasoil and Light Fuel Oil, while an increase was recorded in the sales of Heavy Fuel Oil and Aviation Kerosene.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded an increase of 2.7% compared with the previous month.
During the period January – August 2010 the total sales of petroleum products recorded a decrease of 2.4% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
