More trips abroad by Cyprus residents in June

An increase of 5.4% on trips abroad by residents of Cyprus was recorded in June 2010, compared to the corresponding month of 2009, according to the Statistical Services.

On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 103,014 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in June 2010 compared to 97,713 in the corresponding month 2009.

In June 2010 there was an increase of 7.0% on the trips of residents to Greece (from 32,068 in June 2009 to 34,326 in June 2010) and 10.2% increase from the United Kingdom (from 26,804 to 29,535 this year).
