Cyprus construction prices inch up

Construction prices inched up in March, as the Price Index of Construction Materials for March 2010 rose by 0.59% over the previous month to 119.03 (base year 2005=100.00) and by 1.54% over March 2009.
For the period January – March 2010 the index recorded an increase of 1.27% compared with the same period last year.
The main increases over the year earlier in the first quarter were in minerals, up 5.0%, and mineral products, up 4.0%.
The main decline was in metallic products, down 3.7% over the first quarter of 2009.
