Cyprus’ tourism revenue records decrease

A decrease in the revenue from tourism was recorded in February 2010 compared to the corresponding month in 2009.

According to data by the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus, the decrease reached 6.4%.

The Statistical Service notes that on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached 33,9mn Euro in February 2010 compared to 36,3 mn Euro in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 6.4%.

For the period January – February 2010 revenue from tourism is estimated to reach 63,6 mn Euro compared to 67,5 mn Euro in the corresponding period of 2009, recording a decrease of 5,7%.
