Cyprus outbound travel up 6.5% in January

Outbound travel showed signs of recovery in January as the number of residents of Cyprus returning from a trip abroad rose by 6.5% over the corresponding month of 2009 to reach 78.328, compared with 73,550 in January 2009.
There was an increase of 16.9% in the number of trips of residents to Greece (from 20,904 in January 2009 to 24,431 in January 2010).
There was an increase of 18.8% increase from the United Kingdom (from 16,988 to 20,187 this year).
