Less tourists visit Cyprus in January 2010

Arrivals of tourists reached 45.952 in January 2010, compared to 47.066 in January 2009, recording a decrease of 2,4%, according to the Statistical Service.

A decrease of 10,2% was recorded in tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom (17.788 in January 2010 compared to 19.809 in January 2009) and 8,1% decrease from Germany (4.083 compared to 4.442 last year).

On the other hand, an increase of 8,4% was recorded in tourist arrivals from Greece (from 6.888 in January 2009 to 7.470 in January 2010).
