Nearly 3,500 high school students from the public gymnasiums, lyceums and technical schools will enjoy a day trip to Greece to visit the new Acropolis Museum in Athens.
The students will depart in groups of 22 following a draw at their school and will travel on board Olympic Air flights in the morning, returning home later in the evening. They will be accompanied by their principal or school representative and a teacher.
Efthymios Bouloutas, Chief Executive Officer of Marfin Laiki Bank, said that the whole venture is part of the educational programme called ‘A Day at the Museum’ and is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and Olympic Air, a member of the MIG Group.
“Our aim is to bring the students in direct contact with Hellenic history, and in particular the art of the Classical period.
The first group left on January 29 and the trips will continue until May.
