Cypriot FM congratulates Serbia on applying for EU membership

Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Kyprianou has congratulated the government of Serbia on the submission of an application for accession to the European Union.

The Minister expressed Cyprus’ willingness to contribute politically and technically to that effort, an official press release said here today.

During a telephone conversation with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic, Kyprianou reiterated, as he had done during his recent visit to Serbia, the support of the Republic of Cyprus to the country’s European prospective.
