Cyprus secures four medals at World School Games in Doha

Cyprus has secured one gold, one silver and two bronze medals during the World School Games in Doha, Qatar, held December 8-12.

Michael Klatsias won the gold medal at discus throw with a 57.07 meters shot, Michalis Klatsias won the silver medal in shot put with a 18.50m shot. Alekos Pursanides won a bronze medal in the hammer throw with a 68.76m shot and Haris Koutras a bronze medal the 110m. hurdles race with 13.70.

Cyprus Amateur Athletics Federation said in a press release that the performance of the Cypriot athletes at the games was quite good and has given hope for even better results in the future.
