Cyprus Co-Ops maintain gains in deposit share

The Cooperative Credit Societies maintained their gains in climbing the overall deposit market share, lifting their total share by 2.9% to 21.3% by end of October through a policy of paying top rates, which according to records exceeds 4% on 1-year euro deposits.
Hellenic Bank and EFG Eurobank gained 0.4% and 0.9% YoY, respectively, whilst the major local players BOCY and CPB lost 1.6% and 1.0% YoY, respectively.
In terms of loans, the Greek players Piraeus and EFG Eurobank gained 0.3% YoY and 2.9% YoY, respectively. BOCY, Alpha Bank and CPB lost the highest share from the large players (-0.7%, -0.7% and -0.2%, YoY respectively).
