Cyprus Interior Minister to take part in EU Council

Minister of Interior Neoclis Sylikiotis departs on Thursday for Luxembourg to take part in the Council of Ministers for Justice and Interior Affairs of the European Union.

According to an official press release issued here Wednesday, in the framework of the Council’s deliberations, the Swedish EU Presidency, inter alia, will present the candidatures which came up for the seat of the European Asylum Support Office.

Cyprus has already submitted its candidature with regard to this particular seat.

On the sidelines of the Council, Sylikiotis will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.

Cypriot Minister returns home on Saturday.
