Cyprus Agrifair to take place October21 to 25

The 16th Pancyprian Agricultural Fair, Agrifair, will be held from October 21st to October 25th. The Fair will be officially opened by President of the Republic Demetris Christofias.
Chairman of the Cyprus State Fairs Authority Loizos Constantinou said that the Fair is one of the largest and most significant events staged by the Authority.
The Fair is co-organised with the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Cooperative Movement, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and agricultural organisations.
“The Fair aspires to acquaint visitors with the latest achievements and developments in the farming and livestock sector and tracks the progress made in new methods and techniques, both here and abroad”, he said.
Constantinou added that the Fair informs and advises the farming community on how to increase productivity and improve quality.
“This is particularly important in view of the competitive environment of a united Europe”, he concluded.
