Garden nursery, toymaker, shipping portal win Cyprus innovation awards

Three companies and the government department in charge of the “Citizens’ Bureaus” were the winners of the third annual innovation awards presented by the Employers and Industrialists Federation, OEV, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism and the Research promotion Dept. of the University of Cyprus.
Maria Evagorou Svana’s garden nursery was the winner of the Primary Sector award for developing and constructing a fully electronic controlled nursery for the cultivation of flowers.
Engino.net Ltd was the winner of the Manufacturing Sector award for the design and manufacture of an assembled educational toy for children above 6 years.
Umar Shipping Services Ltd. was the winner of the Services Sector award for the development of a corporate portal with round-the-clock reporting for shipowners and ship managers.
Finally, the Public Sector Management Dept. of the Ministry of Finance received the Public Service award for the Citizens’ Bureau public offices that have been operating in all towns for the past four years.
