Cyprus trips abroad up again in April

After four months of decline, the number of residents of Cyprus travelling abroad rose again in April.
On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 102,733 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in April 2009, a rise of 12.1% compared with the 91,675 who returned in the corresponding month of 2008.
By contrast, there had been a fall in the previous three months, averaging around 6.2%.
In April 2009 there was an increase of 0.5% in the trips of residents to Greece (from 37,284 in April 2008 to 37,480 in April 2009) as well as a 50.2% increase from the UK (from 15,703 to 23,590 this year) .
