Cyprus industrial turnover down 8.9% in March

The Statistical Service Cystat has reported that the index of industrial turnover is provisionally estimated to have reached 112.5 (base 2005=100) in March, recording a decrease of 8.9% compared with March 2008.
Industrial production in the same period fell by 5.1%.
For the period January-March 2009, the index recorded a decrease of 7.3% compared with the same period of the previous year.
For manufacturing, the index for March 2009 reached 110.7, recording a decrease of 7.9% compared with March 2008.
