Cyprus remains one of the key financial partners for Russia, according to the Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Georgi Petrov, who opened a seminar in Moscow on the business services offered by Cyprus.

Petrov noted that ''during the global financial crisis, Cyprus has managed to take measures to overcome the negative developments, and the Cypriot economy is one of the few European economies that continues to grow.''

He added that more and more Russian regions are becoming involved in financial and investment cooperation with Cypriot companies and thus such business seminars will also take place in other Russian towns and cities.

The seminar was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus-Russia Business Association.
