Etihad Airways launches direct flights to Cyprus Larnaca

The National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways launched Sunday direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Larnaka airport, with a frequency of three flights a week.

According to a press release, issued here today, Etihad's operations to Larnaca will offer one more advantage in the efforts to reinforce tourist attraction to Cyprus and will enhance relations between Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates.

Etihad Manager Lorna Dalziel said the expansion to a destination like Cyprus is a strategic movement expressing belief that the Cypriot passenger will book on Etihad's routes and fly.

Celebrating the commencement of the operations to Larnaca, Etihad Airways offers the chance of a low price package for its various destinations to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia beginning June 30 until December 31, 2009.
