Consuls hold meeting in Cyprus

The executive committee of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) will hold its next meeting in Cyprus on April 24-27, following the invitation from Cyprus committee member, Costakis Lefkaritis.
The meeting, to be held at the Four Seasons in Limassol, will deal with issues related to consular officials around the world, including their positions and ways to make them more efficient.
The members of the executive committee, including FICAC chairman Arnold Foote from Jamaica, will also have meetings with Cyprus government officials.
FICAC was established in 1982, it has 15,000 members and since 1993 is an NGO accredited at the United Nations. Former diplomat Andreas Mavrommatis has been a former chairman of FICAC.
