Cypriot Minister at the EPSCO meeting

Cypriot Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Sotiroulla Charalambous is participating in the informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs (EPSCO) which takes place in the city Luhacovice of Czech Republic.

The EPSCO meeting that started Thursday will last until Saturday, 24 January. Ministers from 20 member-states and deputy Ministers or senior officials form 7 member-states are attending the meeting.

Czech Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Petr Necas opened the meeting, informing his colleagues regarding the main points on the agenda of the meeting with the representatives of social partners and the Social Platform held on Wednesday, 21 January, in Brussels.

The informal meeting of the EPSCO Council is also attended by European Commissioner Vladimir Spidla.
